(35 hpw) £26257-£29575 (incuding ILW) (NJC 27-31)Stonewall Housing is a charitable housing association which has provided housing support and advice for LGBT people for over 25 years. Our Housing Team provides supported housing for young LGBT people and our Advice Team provides free confidential housing advice to LGBT people of all ages. We also research and lobby at a strategic level on the housing issues affecting our communities. At the heart of our work is the aim to help people find a home they feel safe and secure in. We are currently looking for an experienced Supported Housing Officer to provide support and resettlement to young LGBT people (aged 16-25). Ideally you will have at least two years experience within a supported housing setting, providing structured support for a vulnerable client group. Working for Stonewall Housing: Stonewall Housing is a small voluntary sector LGBT organisation employing 14 members of staff. There are three teams – the Supported Housing Team, which is made up of the Housing Services Manager and six Supported Housing Officers; the Housing Advice Team, which consists of the Advice Services Manager and four Housing Advice Workers; and the Central Admin Team, which includes the Chief Executive and the Office Manager / PA to the Chief Executive. We have a busy main office based in Islington, from which most of our staff work on a daily basis. Some of our Supported Housing Officers work from an office in the house they provide support for, and come into the main office at least once a week. Housing Advice Workers take it in turns to cover our daily advice line and three weekly advice surgeries in locations across London.
